Paul Nichols is a seasoned engineering leader and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience building innovative software solutions. Currently serving as CTO at Campfire, he brings extensive expertise in scaling engineering teams and delivering impactful products.
Previously, Paul led engineering at HomeLight as Senior Director, where he managed multiple engineering teams responsible for the company's suite of real estate technology products. His entrepreneurial spirit shone through as the Co-founder and CTO of Disclosures.io, a successful real estate technology platform that was acquired by HomeLight in 2020.
A Y Combinator alumnus (S17), Paul has consistently demonstrated his ability to bridge technical excellence with business acumen. His career includes key technical leadership roles at prominent companies like DocuSign, where he spearheaded the development of Transaction Rooms for Financial Services, and Avi Networks, where he was an early employee building crucial API and dashboard infrastructure.
Paul holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from UC San Diego, bringing a strong theoretical foundation to his practical expertise. Beyond his professional work, he actively contributes to his community as a board member for local swimming organizations in the Bay Area. In his free time, he enjoys being outside surfing, biking, and spending time with his family.
